After being inspired by whatthemovie, i finally grabbed and watched TOKYO GORE POLICE.
It was absolutley mind-bending, hilarious, absurd and distorting, but overall just great :)

The downfall: I know only very few persons, I'd actually recommend this movie, haha

I'd instantly write a review, if it was already possible :)

Man I always thought Cate Blanchett was good, but this version was a lot better! Helen Mirren is one hell of an actress.

Lol actually I enjoyed "Alien vs. Predator", I didn't expect anything from it, so it was entertaining enough. Just being able to get a good look at the aliens / predators makes the movie worthwile, love to see them fight ;) If you didn't like that one though I advise you to never watch avp2 :P

Watched "Changeling", I have to say this is up to date the best performance I've seen of Angelina Jolie (I never thought much of her acting skills, always thought she was just beautiful and sexy, nothing more)

Guess you're right ^^ She was really, really good in Changeling. I think she often plays in movies where her real skills have no chance to show... In "Wanted" for example I thought she was bad.

Yeah, not her finest moment. Looking forward to Salt, though; from the pictures I've seen, it looks like she's having a blast filming, and sometimes that really helps a movie. On occasion, you can see when the actors were just having a hoot, and it's usually for the good of the picture.

i also liked seeing the alien and predators some more, but come on
a predator is way to cool to work together with a human, no matter how many aliens she killed.

hmm, a quote function would be handy in the wtm 2 forum

Well yeah, that part was of course totally out of character for the Predator... but I kinda liked imagining... what if I was that woman - I mean how goddamn cool would that be to kick alien ass together with a predator?? :D Don't tell me you wouldn't like that? :P

What helps to accept avp is not to think of it as part of either the Alien series or the Predator movies. Same goes for Alien 4 imo. I just watch those movies for pure entertainment and don't let them spoil the other movies for you. Ignore the parts you don't like and enjoy the rest ;)

No, I mean the novel. It was written long before the movie ever came into existence, a fantastic piece of science fiction. It's by Heinlein.

Angels & Demons. To ME, it's a film that just flows along, like a brook; sometimes encountering a stone. Nothing noteworthy, and definitely not worth the hoohah that's published about it. Not entirely boring, but ultimately...well, go see it.

Saw Oldboy recently . . I was totally blown away . . what a great movie, I am fairly new to Asain cinema but I am liking what I've seen so far . . .

Also saw The Fall . . that was a beautiful movie . . . simple story, but really nice to look at . . .

And Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen . .

(I have Tokyo Gore Police & Let the Right One In both next in line to watch)
