I like the idea too, but maybe AUs should be excluded from the count. Too easy to upload a completely unsolvable shot, but not easy to go to FF with it.
I also like the idea of a memorabilia for unsolved shots. If AUs are to be excluded (I can see why), I guess that 10 unsolved shots would be a reasonable number, to get the memo...
I'm not sure about a memorabilia for unsolved shots. Wouldn't it make the solving even more difficult if people actively try to post unsolved shots? Even right now the average movie goer is probably only solving a very low percentage of the shots in FF.
all shots from me go unsolved from NS to FF are solved then instant from Zo0, i never get this memo :D But its a nice idea, maybe 5 or 10 is a good number for it.
And totally agree doooom! the game is at the moment really difficult. To join HoF 20 you need just to solve about a bit more as 1/3 of the shots, for many people in the rank 200-2000 it must be a bit annoying to solve only every 10th shot, on a day with 50 shots only solve 5, thats disgusting if i think about that ;-)
To make the game not harder as it is nowadays, maybe it could work in a another way, like first solves. For first solves it doesn't matter if the shot reach FF or not. Maybe for unsolved memo it counts too, if a rejected shot runs out of the 30 days.
And I basically think that there are things that are more important than giving memos for unsolved shots. To increase the quality of the site I would rather give memos for things like replacement shots.
@Kinoute "Guys, I need players who rate movies on imdb and have their ratings public in order to test the import of ratings from imdb! " You can count on me.
guys I fixed the long import problem (by making the script a background task so it could take a few min to import) and your movies should be added on your "has watched" list. Please try to import again. If your # of "has watched" movies is different than your # of ratings, that's simple: some movies you rated are not in our database and also for now, I skip every TV Series.
What would be cool, for me at least, was some way of importing my DVD collection from DVD profiler onto my shelf. Dunno how many here use DVD Profiler though.
enter a single number for the fav feature (like fav every movie you rated 8 or higher). The import takes a few minutes so don't import again, just wait around 10 minutes, your shelf/ratings/favs should be updated then
@Solhanne not possible since DVD Profiler does not seem to store the imdb ID of the movie
Yeah, I like it. It's indeed a shame that the best contest shots are not distinguished from others, because they most of the time look even better than some random SotD.
Hey, what about giving away 1 buck for each tag you place on a shot? There would also be the possibility of controling that one doesn't write utter nonsense to get bucks: When somebody deletes a tag, the tag-writer loses his earned buck for that tag. Just like the "thumbs up" "thumbs down" on every shout...
This could seriously increase the linking-up of all shots.
I don't know if this creates to much data because every tag's writer has to be saved this way. But maybe I'm wrong and this is already saved but not used^^
Hello, I have not read all what you've said before, but I think this might be interesting : On the 'snaphots page' of each movie, it would be good to have a little red point (for example) for each snapshot which should be replaced. Because I don't want to take the time to look after all the snapshots in detail (when a movie already got 100 snapshots, what a mess).
Thank you in advance. And I apology if this idea was already posted here ;)
While uploading a title shot it says in the caption "Upload a Title Snapshot for xyz". Could we extent this caption so it actually says whether your uploading a start or an end title?
Is it possible to have "Number of solved" information in the FF overview (for a day/month etc) page...? Currently we have only a color code to indicate whether its a unsolved/ solved by you/ uploaded by you information.
i think about "Snapshot difficulty filter:" maybe more categories can be good... like . very easy (instead of easy) . easy .....(instead of medium) . medium . hard . show all
for me, there's too much shot actually in "show all"
I think you're right: we definitely need a "hard" difficulty. Well, there is already a "hard" difficulty for shots with less than 50 solves, but we need something to let players only play this kind of shots because right now they are mixed with all the other shots (easy & medium). I'll try to do something about it.
