We are planning a closed beta phase for the new whatthemovie starting in may.
We are currently looking for beta testers. Please keep in mind that beta testing is not just for you having fun with the new features but primarily to find bugs in the new code. If you want to apply for a beta spot please follow these instructions.
1.) Register on bugs.whatthemovie.com with your whatthemovie account name. (Account won't be activated until you are confirmed for the beta) 2.) Please post in this thread describing in a few words why we should pick you. 3.) Please include the answers to these questions: * How long you've been playing wtm? * About how many solves you have? * Do you know anything about web development? * Have you ever reported a bug anywhere? * Have you used the whatthemovie irc channel yet?

- i really love whatthemovie - since last summer - solves 2943 - bachelor of arts digital design - yes reportet many in a e-commerce company - not used the irc channel yet
Why? - Why not? How long? I think my first solve for highscore was in the first few hundred. How many? About 1250 for highscore. Knowledge about Web-Dev? HTML, PHP, (JSP), MySQL, Oracle, ... Reported bugs? Yes, at sourceforge. IRC? Yes, please. With Cheese.
Hi here to report the first bug (maybe). I tried to sign up but it tells me "Benutzer oder Kennwort unzulässig" and im sure i put in the right name and pw. well, in case it worked anyway or you can fix it, i will answer the questions ;)
why? found the first bug^^ ;) and im pretty addicted to wtm although im not that successful - puh, pretty long. not the very beginning but I came with the first crowd i think. when did you guys start again? - solves 1900 and 1700 for highscore - not that much. but some basics - small stuff that annoys me. bug or whatever. - i've been in there once when you started it but as nothing was happening i left pretty quickly, sry. hopefully the wtm 2 bugfinding-community will use it more often
WHY? I'm completely addicted to WTM and have nightmares about screenshots I couldn't solve at night.
- Since Mid-December 2008 - 3466 for highscore (#1 top solver films of the last month for the moment (fingers crossed!!!)) and 275 uploads (#5)) - HTML, PHP, MySQL - I had some websites a few years ago so I hate bugs and my only goal in life is to erradicate them!! (that and find #17840... Grrrrr) - Been there a couple of times but nobody was there so I just left and cried in my bed, all alone...
why? because I love wtm and check it several times a day, and would like to help it by contributing myself
- pretty much since the beginning of wtm, first september week I think - 4607 for highscore, place 8 in the overall score (held #1 for a couple of weeks or months last year, but then the better people came along ^^) - not much, but some basics through a friend who programmed and hosts his own site - yes, I helped fix bugs on the aforementioned site - nope, have never used IRC before (that somehow went past me)
1.) Cannot register on bugs.whatthemovie.com with my account name and password: "Invalid user or password" 2.) "Fight Club" and "Æon Flux" are part of my DVD-collection! 3.) - I don't know exactly, but I think it was August/September 2008 - I' ve got 4022 solves so far... - Basics in HTML, PHP, SQL, profound Java and c/c++ skills - On wtm only wrong titles, many "real bugs" at work - I use it regularly
um, yes, I don't know how eles to register ;) luckily I do not seem to be the only one with this problem^^ so hopefully its not me being stupid as I suspected at first ;)
Why : because WTM helped me to be a better man, I want it to be a better website !

I spend a lot of time on this website and I think I could help you find bugs and make it even better. 3.) * My first post on the forum was on Sep 30th, that was about 1 month after the launch. * I solved 2661 for highscore right now. * Only some very basics, I will be quite useless on thisone :p * I have been bugtesting for some MMORPG's, not the same as testing a website but the idea is similar, as you have to report all bugs you find. * I have to repair my computer first, but then I'll be back on Irc all day. At the moment i will only be on Irc when I'm on the site.
2.) We're 6 people using this account, all of us web developers (you know... playing wtm at work :P), so we just might be able to find a couple of bugs

The import script got a bit stuck, but due to a nice kick in the rear it now decided to go on Users and Movies are imported, Images are just being imported. ABout an hour.

* wtm keeps me hooked up: it's always a challenge and a big party when solved or a big tragedy when not! and I'd like to return something for all the free fun that's offered here
