I know you guys want the uploads to follow the guidelines and so you need to check every single upload and I understand you can't sit on the computer for 24 hours a day. So the problem is, it takes a long time since I can see my shots on WTM, which is a bit annoying sometimes. So I came up with the idea that maybe you can give a special status to either users who uploaded a lot of (approved) shots OR users who you think are reliable and follow the rules, so they don't need to go through that process and you don't have to check their shots everytime. With the option to kick them out of that special status, if they mess around to much, of course.

Deviant, nice idea, you are thinking of system like notcot.org ;)
We're taking this feature into consideration.

Let me explain the new queueing system, we're currently working on, right here:

    > Every submitted movie goes straight in a seperate pool.
    > There, it will stay for exactly 24 hours.
    > Every moderator is able to see all submitted information (title, movie names, etc). He/she can vote for posting or rejecting.
    > When rejecting a movie, a disapprove reason can be added.
    > After 24 hours have passed, all votes for each movie are calculated and it leaves the queue, heading either for the garbage pile or the site ;)

With this system, you can be sure, that your movie either appears exactly 24 hours after you posted it, or you get the disapprove reason.

    The new system sounds interesting.
As new movies wouldn't come in waves anymore with the new system, would you might consider a rss-feed for new movies?

If you do the 24 hour system, you heavily depend on the upload of the last day.
I can imagine you want to have a steady suply of movies, so "approved" stills go into a buffer and a (more or less) fixed amount is published every day, so in days with less uploads, you still can publish a reasonable amount of stills.

you could also als spread the publiching of the movies over the day. that way more people get a shot to be first and not only the ones that are awake at 3 in the morning ;)
