Would it be realizable to create some kind of pair-contest? I was thinking about the idea of a "before/after" contest. Two shots (maybe put together in a single upload) with nearly the same setting but where one detail has changed completly. It sounds like a great idea, golem, but unfortunately we are still short a coder to really make this work nice, so I am afraid this is not really an option for now, but I will certainly keep it in mind for the future!
My votes go to: - transitions (2 scenes fading into each other and other montage effects) - nudity - photographs in snapshots - split screens and one that wasn't listed yet (I think): - voyeurs, watchers and other Big Brother's copycats (shots with binoculars, surveillance screens/cameras, ...)

And also another idea i posted earlier, toilets! (or maybe bathrooms)
and on another note: silhouettes wich seem to be populair, is very close to the topic of the very first contest organised by us, the users, (can't remember who spawned the idea but i think it was about silhouettes and shadows)
anyway, i'm hoping for a poll and am looking forward to the next contest!
I'll second the toilet idea. Sounds like a random idea like windows, stairs and legs but it is much better considering that toilets were a no-go in movies until Hitchcock gave a damn and made Psycho. So a collection of toilet shots since then would be awesome. Hitchcock enabled great movies with great toilet scenes like trainspotting :)
The fading idea is also awesome but I would rather like it to be announce as topic for the contest after the next one. Reason: every movie has transitions but only a few are really great. It is hard to remember two/three awesome transition scenes, maybe organize the movie if you don't already have the dvd and take the shots within one week. Everybody who doesn't find good shots will fill his/her slots with boring transitions instead of uploading nothing. I think the results will be much better if everyone knows there will be a fading contest in some weeks and has more time to take shots and choose the best ones.
But in the end the topic doesn't matter as long as there is a contest soon ;)
efji : if you count girl butts + boobs + pussies, you have wayyyy more shots than penises + man butts ! I'm not a penislover (more an olympiquetangolover haha) but you can't deny there was a time when NS was flooded with boobies and it was kinda annoying...

please dont be too vague, it has to be a theme so animation or just b&w will not do, be more precise. It can be animation but with something more ;) What's fun into just taking any type of animation shot? the contest has to be also challenging for the uploaders as much as for the solvers, you have to be able to ask your self "Shit in which movie there is a scene like this or where can I find this"
You can never have too many penises IMHO, so I am def with the pro penis crowd! I think movies within movies could be interesting. And also I like the split screens idea. Oh, but you lost me with toilets! Toilets?! Really?! lol! x
