I really do not understand how it is possible to have such great scores on VTM ! Except if you stay all day long in front of your computer ... For me as I am away from home (work) , I can't play more than one hour ...or less ... So I 'l never be a good solver ...but I love to play and discover movies with that game .. and I love to spend my time watching movies ...
Several hours/day for me (at least 1), in average. The more you watch movies, the more you select shots from DVD's and try to upload it, the more you will solve shots in FF easily. I don't spend so much time on a single shot, except if I just recognize an actor and have to find the title on IMDb, for exemple.
I hope the new feature with groups and ranking between friends will come soon, it will be a great improvement for casual players.
