Now that there's a huge amount of movies on wtm, it takes very long time to navigate through the collection (personnally, I've got a paper list of at least 20 films i've found but it takes too much time to go through the overview screens)
Somebody proposed to tag stills to classify them. That's a good idea but it seems uneasy to fix.
I propose (maybe in a first time) to set the possibility of bookmarking stills so that it would be possible to find them in the display options of the overview.
some kind of metadata attached to the movies could work. just today i found a still i was looking for 6 days ago (it's released in the next week or so), but with metadata search i could have found it earlier. tags like tiger, fire, window, watch, zombie would help searching for the still you're looking for. but then again, it also gives hints so there's a tradeoff.
on the other hand stuff like 'fire' 'tiger' etc. is shown in the picture. quite clearly, i might add, so the tag gives just as big a hint as the picture itself ;) i thinkt tags would be a perfect solutions-i've been looking for two shots since sunday. so far-no luck. it's just that i'm not certain if it's 'doable'... anyway, if it's possible, than please, add tags. pretty please ;)
i'm fairly new to this awesome website and i think tags that don't give anything away are necessary, i don't think there's any problem with telling what's in the picture, except for the actors. just 'black & white' would help a lot. to me it seems that the pictures i'm looking for have vanished...i don't really know how the system with numbering the pictures works, but maybe there can be done something that way. sometimes i just can't remember the name of the movie right away and want to come back to the pic later.... i really do hope there's a way to solve this problem, because i'm spending hours looking for just a few stills.. thanx
or actually it might be enough, if on the overview you could select the page randomly. people could remember where they left of and go back to that page right away, without clicking through all the previous ones. because if you want to get to page 124 for example it takes ages. but thanks for the awesome website
