[This text is for the event of 14th June 2014 --- See messages on page 2 to get informations about 2017th edition] (french version lower) Dear WTMers,
The associative cinema "Les Cinémas Studio" (one of the most important associative cinema in France) is organizing, each year since 30 years, a unique event for cinema lovers : a whole night of movies, old and recent, from all countries and genres, 16 films in 7 projection rooms, from 6 pm. to 6 am., for more than 1000 persons.
And for the second year in a row, besides food and covers stands, there will be a bigger and more pretty WTM space ! Check the last one here : http://forum.whatthemovie.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=995&Focus=32565#Comment_32565 The audience will be invited to test their cinema knowledge playing with Archive shots. I will have the honour to host the space (with help from Hilligoss and Circee) and show people our huge shots database.
For this occasion, we are inviting you to join us for this special event, and meet the WTM community "for real", watch movies, chat about cinema...
The night will take place Saturday, June 14th 2014, in Tours (37000 – France). The ticket costs 19 €.

Sound great to me! Last year was my first time at this great festival and it was pretty cool (very nice people and a very good choice of movies for every taste!) I'll be there for the 3Ost night at Tours (also great to see the WTM stand back this year:a lot of fun!)
So, last week-end took place the Night of Cinema, with more than 800 visitors, and a 10-hours marathon for the WTM crew. Thanks a lot to Circee and her husband Jean-Michel, for there availability and kindness. Thanks to Hilligoss for the help and organization. And thanks to Zo0, bius, Yhi, Timpap and Birdyshaman for coming to Tours and giving awesomness all night long !

It was really great to meet Zo0, Yhi and Birdyshaman. Also great to see again Lepaposaure,Hilligoss, Circee and Jean Michel and Timpap too! I discover Mary & Max (Masterpiece!) really impressed by the new print of the original Django and so happy to rediscover on a big screen The Fly of Cronenberg (even at 3am!) Hope i will come back next year and there will be new WTM players to come to Tours. Cheers!
The organisation this year was pretty cool! Last year it was 'amateur level' but this time... :) :) :) A great surprise, thank you Papo & Hilligoss! See you next year ;)
It was with pleasure that we decorated the stand WTM. Meetings with other players were pleasant. But I did not see you Timpad… too occupied seeing the films during this long night… I hope that there will be more WTM players next year !
- The Big Lebowski (1998) - Joel Coen (New Digital Copy !) - The Princess Bride (1987) - Rob Reiner - Mujeres al borde de un ataque de "nervios" (1988) - Pedro Almodóvar - La cité de la peur (1994) - Alain Berbérian - Que la bête meure (1969) - Claude Chabrol - Le cave se rebiffe (1961) - Gilles Grangier - Brighton Rock (1947) - John Boulting - J'ai tué ma mère (2009) - Xavier Dolan (First movie by/with Xavier Dolan) - Bin-jip - 3-Iron (2004) - Ki-duk Kim - Midnight Cowboy (1969) - John Schlesinger - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) - Tobe Hooper (Digital Leatherface !) - District 9 (2009) - Neill Blomkamp - High Plains Drifter (1973) - Clint Eastwood - The Rose (1979) - Mark Rydell - Sita Sings the Blues (2008) - Nina Paley
Some movies I love (Texas chainsaw massacre, District 9, La cité de la peur), some I like a lot (Bin jip, The big Lebowski, J'ai tué ma mère), some classics I've never seen (Princess bride, Midnight cowboy) and some movies I've never heard of (The rose, Brighton rock) ! Beautiful choices !
Oooh that's lovely! I didn't know WTMers were meeting in France. I'm in Paris, and I'll definitely try to come if I can find people to host me :p Plus the movie list this year is particularly attractive to me!
