This will be the third series of short vault contests, each based on one continent of the Earth. The idea is to post shots that are visually connected to and iconic for the continent of the theme. For the this part we will visit Europe. Because the borders of Europe are relative to the eye of the beholder, I have drawn a quick map showing the bounderies of how we see the continent for the purposes of this vault.
Marvel at the sight of my awesome paint skills!
So: - No Russia, Turkey or the Caucasus - Yes Iceland
@Winterwolf : Maybe you should read.. The right borderline is fine. It is Europe, not "Europe, Asia Minor and The Caucasus". The European part of Russia is excluded cause we like to stick to country borders to avoid confusion.
i dont know its easier to take Country Borderlines, instead of the real size of Europe... not long ago there was no Ukraine, Belarus etc. Would be not easy to figure out some World War II scenes i guess for example. Another example, some buildings of moscow and st. petersburgh are unique, and with real size Europe right here, but what want you protect to make russia complete out of europe? Some irrelevant landscape shots? I dont get it, sorry
Also, just to be clear: that "The European part of Russia" is not considered part of Europe by us for this vault, DOES mean that we consider it part of Asia for a future vault. No part of the world will be left out! Oh, and also I just noticed that Svalbard is not on my map, but that one is allowed.
