There are some crazy ways you could answer some stills. Sometimes a still can be found because of the actor/ a sentance in the still or type of movie (war/SF/comedy) But sometimes I had some crazy ways of finding the solutions of a still. For instence, there was one still I guessed because of the colour scheme that was also used in the DVD case :S. Once someone told me about a good movie and a scene as example for the way of filming (Requiem FaD, breakfast scene). then I saw a still that could be that scene and voiala, I was right!
Someone some crazy experiences of solving a movie?
I can't answer that question because I'm crazy myself. I escaped the mental institute and found myself here I don't know how. Because I am a weirdo I can solve any snaps without thinking. Like my cousin Rain Man.
Well, when I don't know a shot what looks interesting, I bookmark it to check later. But then when I get the solution, the style of the shot (and of the shots on the archive), the colours etc get recorded in my head forever. That's why I solve a lot of shots from which film I haven't watched yet.
a user posted 5 Shots in a row. After i checked some shots of a user got the same unique colour i bookmarked them. After the first running out of FF, i solved the other 3 and some time later i got first solve by the 5th upload - of course i never seen or heared about the movie :-)
Oh, and reading the "What's the last movie you've seen?"-thread in this Forum is very important for solving shots.
But I solved most shots because I uploaded them myself with a second account. When doing so remember to keep your real account open in another browser to ensure the first-solve is yours. Another hint: do a little Photoshop on the shot to make it harder for other people to solve. For example you can add the face of Johnny Depp to the shot, I saw hundreds of those and nobody seems to care.
btw: Did anybody of you guys ever solve a shot by just recognising the movie from a SINGLE SHOT?!? I hardly think it is possible at all!
