Yeah I saw Up saturday and it's very good, but the 3D is overrated... I saw it synchronized with danish voices and it was pretty good and funny to hear all the children laugh all the time:)
I watched Synecdoche New York. A really fascinating story in which everything is interwoven and mysterious. The actors are brilliant, especially in playing each others. I really liked it and hope Charlie Kaufman will stay in the directors business.
Don't Drink the Water a rare Woody Allen for television (you won't see any snapshops here ;) that I hadn't seen... with M J Fox and WAllen... a story of an american ambassy in the USSR... a bit disapointed by this telefilm but got me a few smiles, as WA is a great dialogue writer...
Antichrist. I am still pondering if i'm clad that i saw or not, because it feels weird to be positive about such a negative (story-wise) movie. It definitely left a huge impression and the cinematography is stunning!
Castaka recommended it to me, and I am glad she did, I can't believe this movie slipped me by before. Such a simple, sweet story, with incredibly haunting music, a great cinéma vérité style, and completely non-cliche. The two musicians actually performed very well in their acting roles too. Awesome, 10/10.
Now that is a great motivation to go to zombieland Razzomega. I'm gonna see it this weekend or something i think. Been looking forward to it for a few weeks.
I just watched "Zombieland", too. Man, what a ride! Relly great movie! A lot of zombies, a lot of blood, a lot of action, a lot of comedy and a bit of romance. It's the American equivalent to "Shaun of the Dead". And the team of "Zombieland" is thinking about a sequel and they are saying that they have tons of ideas so... let's hope. :)
EDIT: Just watched "Zombieland" the 2nd time. Now it was even funnier than the 1st time. After the 1st time I couldn't really agree with Razzomega. I mean, it was very funny, as funny as "Shaun of the Dead" but now... after the 2nd time I really have to agree with Razzomega: funnier than "Shaun of the Dead". ;)
Away We Go, by Sam Mendes http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1176740/ Marvelous, simple, funny, brilliant ! Between Juno, Broken Flowers and Little Miss Sunshine. Splendid OST also.
Thanks to you guys here just saw State and Main, nice movie ! Love when they do movies about shooting movies like Living in Oblivion... :) I will have to remember who posted it to thank him ;)
Saw The Green Mile, I hadn't seen... very interesting movie. Was kind of afraid by the topic at first but I thought the characters well written... Michael Clarke Duncan is amazing(ly) huge !
I saw the new "A Christmas Carol" in 3D, there was much more 3D than in UP and I think the new version is quite okay, though I normally can't stand Jim Carrey :P
I saw Avatar yesterday and it was my first movie in 3D and damn, it was beautiful although the script wasn't original at all. But you definitly need to see it in 3D!
I saw Vanilla Sky and didnt like it. The soundtrack is great but really too loud. The story is good and they could have made something really great with that but they did not. And the actors are not good except for Cameron Diaz who is excellent (and beautiful).
@Lachinator: I really just want to watch that movie, but the movie has been moved to come in theaters in march instead of december here in Denmark, that is just stupid -.-!
