    Are short movies allowed ? (less than 20 minutes)
    And if it counts less than 500 votes on imdb ??
    I am allowed to vote for deletion, even if I am the first solver of the shot ?

    That's actually true. We all agreed on not using the delete button if the shot does not violate any rules. But there is no rule for that. So my point is, if short films are not allowed (which is okay), it should not be a secret.

    i was the first one with the deletion vote because it's was presto a pixar short movie

    the rule is only on the forum and I checked it's not on the upload FAQ on the website

    the upload rules needs to be updated

    i thought the rule concerning shorts was clear, shorts are not allowed (correct me if im wrong)
    but why does http://whatthemovie.com/movie/la_jetee have shots, even some recent ones, that are not deleted?
    also http://whatthemovie.com/movie/un_chien_andalou still has shots.
    i think this rule has always been there and is very clear, so i dont understand why we keep these shots. its only confusing and unfair.

    We shouldn't accept any new shots from these shorts.
    But we're not planning on deleting the ones already uploaded. I'm actually not sure this rule has always been there.
    Hopefully some new feature will enable us to lock those movies for upload.

    i understand you dont want to delete really old ones, but what about the one from september 2010 and end of august 2010?
    sorry i dont understand, just stick with the rules.

    It would be a pity to delete these two masterpieces while so many "movies" have tens of shots, with a new one every 7 days.
    Same for http://whatthemovie.com/movie/la_sortie_des_usines_lumiere or http://whatthemovie.com/movie/le_voyage_dans_la_lune and a few others.

    Okay...I have a few doubts now.

    What's the parameter for a movie to be considered a short? What about these old movies, made in a time when there was no distinction between full lenght and short, and everything was just "movie"?

    Check the genre description on imdb, if it says "Short", then it's a short ;)

    The Kid is *not* a short, according to IMDb.
