Well it depends, it can be that it was deleted before the end of the 48hrs reason can be: black bars, dupe (shot already posted), bad quality If 5 people vote for deletion then it is totally removed and there is no way to see it anymore
You can see when it is about to be deleted with a button next to the shot called "vote for deletion", when it turns red, some people voted for deletion, click on it and you will see the reasons
Other reason could be that simply the shot didn't get enough of a good rating to move to the next section, then at the end of the 48hrs it is also deleted (only 20 shots go through each 24hrs and a few more pushed through by the admins)
The best would be for you to post the shot here using imageshack or something, then people who remember it might be able to tell you what happened
I remember it but I have no idea why it could have been deleted. How long ago did you post it? Are you sure it just didn't make it to the feature part because of low rating? Maybe someone else can help...
Well I dont know what is considered as low rating (5? 6?) but this might be the reason, although I have seen shots with lowest rating go from new submissions to FF. Well maybe there was 20 shots with best rating.
Thank you anyway, because i didnt know you can see the reasons why people vote for deletion by clicking on the "deletion" button.
you're welcome :-) About the 20 shots a day, it is the 20 best shots but there are also some additional ones which are pushed through by people with special power: you have to be an admin or have the rank Executive Producer to be able to do this, this is why sometimes low rated movies can make it to the next stage
I dont know, I really love the shot and it would be a shame in my opinion but I also dont know which movie it is so I cannot really judge :) Would love to know what it is though :)
We already talk about different versions of movies in another topic. The majority of us think that, as long as it comes from an official DVD, any version/cut of the film should be accepted.
If you really want it deleted we can do it, but why not wait to see what happens? It may go through anyway yet.... 21 hours left yet anything can happen :)
Regarding http://whatthemovie.com/shot/27490 I also like the shot ;) and would love to know what it is so as LordMyst said, just wait and see, you never know what can happen. With 3 admins here now, we each can push through about 8 shots a day so you never know...
You know, this is not really how it's supposed to work. You're not supposed to upload something then wait for the 10 first votes and decide to delete the shot so you can open a new slot. Besides, admins can manually accept shots (and naut does it a lot) if they are interesting, even if they don't have a very good rating so they might eventually be accepted.
You can ask for deletion when there clearly was a problem when uploading (you put the wrong title, you uploaded a bad version of the image when you have a better one, etc.) but other than that, you should wait for the normal process to take care of it.
Yes, I totally agree, this is not the way to go. If you decided to upload this shot it must be because you thought it had a chance, otherwise I dont understand your logic... If it is badly rated, just do as we all do: wait and see! We will not delete shots just based on this sort of reasons ;)
