I have to agree about explosions. I find random explosions even harder to identify than random guns or random landscapes! Usually they look pretty much the same. Just like closeups of bomb count-downs, don't like those either ^^
And I have to agree, it really looks like, someone posts a shot of a movie and then, bang, lots of other people think: "Yeah, I have that movie too. I can do this better and I'm gonna post a shot of it aswell."
@Redvex: Wait until Transformers 2 is released on DVD ;)
Yep ! A lot of things to say about the movie. Tarantino is a mad lover of cinema, it's clearly a movie about cinema's references. Sometimes the spectator can be a little bit lost (as I have been). Many scenes are very impressive, others are really funny, but the entire film has not a so obvious message. It's not my favourite Tarantino, but for sure, we are going to have a wave of Inglorious Bastshots in few weeks.
Well I liked it very much. Like LePaposaure I think that this movie has many great scenes. I liked the sricpt, I liked the music but I LOVED the actors. Especially Christoph Waltz and August Diehl.
And I can say that I am going to buy this DVD on the first day and I already have some ideas ;)
In a newpaper in the Netherlands it got a very bad critique. They were saying things like "there is no historical foundation for this movie".
Personally I think they just don't get is. You're not expecting ET to bite heads off, just because he's an alien or expect alie to be nice and cuddly, just because ET is.
Likewise, I just expect a Tarantino movie to have a strange storyline and a lot of over the top violence. Line reservoir dogs, like from dusk till dawn, like deat proof and no doing justice to history crap what so ever.
You watch ET if you want to be cuddled. You watch alien if you want action and you watch Tarantino.... well, if you want Tarantino :)
They cannot criticize the "missing historical foundtaion". The opening sentence ("Once upon a time... in Nazi-occupied France") indicates that this film is a fairy tale, a "what if.." story.
This critic would say the same thing about "Life of Brian".
To go back on tracks with the subject (sorry guys, love tarantino too :p)
I think you can't blame people for watching a dvd and uploading a shot they like because you have seen 30 before on the submissions (that were probably rejected for being too obvious) maybe when you upload something you should put the ones that people tried. That would make people think twice before putting a new one.
Personnally i'm a bit sick of shots that don't show a point of view... although i admit sometimes just showing a shot for an actor's performance is interesting too.
and i'm sick of silent bob cause i have only seen two and i realised thanks to my friend imdb that there is a lot more to enter to find the right one !
