    Is that me, or (most of the time) the easier the shot, the better the rating ?
    On the contrary, the harder the shot (or some unknown movie from nowhere), and the worst the rating...

    too bad its true, from the beginning of wtm 2.0 we got this problem. The only thing you can do about it just vote for the awesomeness of the photo and not for the movie.

    Yet, it's frustrating to see great shots going to the dump (and I'm not talking about mines, which are exquisit as always :D You can't beat that : http://whatthemovie.com/shot/35380 ;P gruesome, no background and a real sens of cheapness).

    i have done it. i uploaded a shot of Johnny depp, plus the supporting actress of a movie. and it got REJECTED. drinks all around :P

    in addition, i posted a shot of a very very well known movie, wich only got 9 solves and 79 votes. It got rejected ofcourse, with every main actor in the movie in (though not plain) view.
    it's a pity :P

    I find I tend to correct this thing a bit for myself, by making higher demands of an easy shot. If it's really easy, it should also be really awesome (or very funny, very beautiful, etc). Otherwise it won't get a high vote from me. If it is a very beautiful or otherwise really good shot, I have no problems giving it a 9 or even higher, easy or not.

    Of course this is totally subjective,depending on personal taste, but I see no problem there - that goes for the whole voting system.
