does any one has any tips on how to make a shot of a blu ray movie? I got powerdvd8 (and hate it) and there is no option to take a shot. they removed that feature for some copyright reasons, i think, because you could take 28 shots a second and then rebuild the movie from that or something.. Sadly VLC cant play Blu rays at this time, well at least i couldn't make VLC do so.. is there a chance?
I tried a program called "screengrab pro" but it doesn't work. perhaps because I'm using windows 7? are there any similar programs which run on win7?
don't know if there already exists such a thread, search didn't give any results so thanks in advance,
As it seems, the only possible way till now isn't legal to explain in germany (and some other countries) because of HDCP. And since naut and tliff are germans and I don't want to get them in trouble I won't explain it here.
But it isn't actually hard to find, I needed 2-3 minutes via google.
Have you tried the Snipping Tool? It's built into Windows Vista and I guess Win 7 still has this great tool. I would be surprised if this doesn't work with Bluray, because it just captures what you see on screen, regardless of what it actually is.
I use it for my captures of DVD-Videos playing in PowerDVD, because it's way better than the integrated snapper in PowerDVD (which sometimes doesn't work at all for me and gives me blue tinted pictures!)
hi @Cotp the program does not work, gives me only a black screen after closing the player. even if, it prints me a nice watermark in the center of the shot unless i would buy it..
