Just a question, sorry if someone already asked about it, I didn't find the answer on the forum. I'm trying to fill my DVD shelf, but sometimes the cover image is wrong or missing, can I add a new one? How?
It would be nice if there were forward and return arrows on the movie's snapshot page right besides or under the big shot. So I could easily go through all shots of the movie. Now you always have to go down, click on a thumbnail, and the carousel will bring the shot to the big position. For movies with over 20 shots it gets quite annoying since you always have to scroll down to the thumbnail and then scroll up again for the big shot, and so on.
@fungus: Heard! That would be totally awesome, it could be really nice and even more nice if you could use you keys to rate shot with ;) Then you didn't have to click on the stars at every shot.
I'm trying to upload a snapshot for a couple of hours now, but I can't, it always freezes on the 5th step (uploading), so I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same kind of trouble??
There is a lot of background work you cannot see at the moment. tliff and naut are constantly working on additions. At the moment, they are working on user statistics, but before this can go live 2 years worth of user data has to be number-crunched, which obviously consumes a lot of processing power etc.. That may be a reason for the slowness you are seeing.
If its just that, then bear with them, Im sure it wont last too much longer.
Of course there are also other reasons your experience could be slow, like internet traffic, latency etc. etc...

Hang out in the chat room, and next time it goes slow for you see if its the same for everyone else. This will tell you if its the interwebs or if its the website itself.
yeah, sorry, I've already built the logic to detach opening and end titles but it's stuck on our beta branch until the next major deploy :( admins/mods/property masters will be able to do so
Yeah, can't see my supporter stats either. Also is it really really slow for everyone, or just for me? It could well be, this internets I am on is pretty shit.
New Subs votes are hidden until you vote yourself. Then you can see the Overall rating, so you can change your vote as you want. Perhabs it could be good to hide the overall rating of a shot even after you have voted for it.
In FF, to hide the overall rating is not so bad, if you want to see it, you have to vote yourself. More participation !
Hidden ratings appear to be totally random. I see a few (not all, just a few...) ratings of shots I've rated, aswell as ratings of shots I didn't touch at all - talking about the overview in new submissions.
On the supporter's page it says that supporters are now able to upload up to 5 shots from the same movie instead of 2. I can't, however, post more than 3 - I get that message that says that I've already uploaded two shots. ("Sorry, You already uploaded two Snapshots of this movie. Become a WTM Supporter and upload up to 5 Snapshots from the same movie.")
Congrats tliff and naut ! Nice job. Stats are more than I expected. I understand why wtm was so slow the last weeks. A little bug: in NS "voting hidden" appears under most of the shots except some of them. Not the ones I have voted for. It changes randomly when I reload the page.
Stats show fine with Firefox here. Great stuff. @MisterZob, crap, and i was happy with my 22 first solves.
Can somebody tell me how i can put a upload picture on my profile (as said in the Observer) Talking about the Observer. Is there a way to re-read it, once you click the little cross?
edit On my profile page, clicking on the awesome uploads still leads me to an empty screen.
very nice upgrade again, thanks guys! I like especially that we now can see the titles of the movie while navigating through the title and character shots! this was really missing :)
