There was a time when the placement of my contest shots was shown in the vault, will this come back? Check screenshot to see what I'm talking about :) https://imgur.com/a/Zzgs1LO
since memo are "cached", they might not be present directly on your profile/memo, they are updated every time the user uploads a new shot. So you know what to do!
In case you haven't noticed yet: The spoiler feature is currently down. Even if you tick the "spoiler" option, the shout will remain visible for all. Until it's fixed, please avoid shouting anything "spoilerish". Thanks.
If you bookmark a shot, then unbookmark it, and try to bookmark it again you get sent to a "HTTP ERROR 406" page. This happens if you do the operation in succession. If you reload the page inbetween unbookmarking and bookmaring everything is fine.
Scruffy might ask you through a shout to assign your shot to a movie character when it reaches the archive.
There are many shots that are in the archive or go to it, which look like character shots, but they never get assigned to a movie character, which is really unfortunate.
Remember, to assign an existing shot to a character, it's really easy to do.
- The shot goes to the archive after spending 30 days in the Feature Films section ; - Since it's known as a "character shot", Scruffy leaves a spoilered shout to encourage the uploader to assign the shot to a character with a link straight to the movie characters page ; - The user goes to the movie characters page, which is our example, is https://whatthemovie.com/movie/from_beyond/characters ; - The user finds the character that is featured in his shot and clicks on "show character" (in our case, "Dr. Katherine McMichaels" https://whatthemovie.com/movie/from_beyond/character/273526-dr-katherine-mcmichaels) ; - The user clicks on "assign existing snapshot" and paste his shot ID or the whole link to his shot ; - Done.
Character shots are important as I'm working on actor/actress pages. If you don't see the character on the movie characters page, you can most likely find the character on the right side of the page, by clicking on "Show all". It should show all the characters of the movie with the actor/actress name. Click on the character's name, enable the character, and you will now see it in the movie characters page to assign your shot.
