I know this is a site about movies and everything related to them, but as we have started to list some of our favourite stuff here on forum, why not share opinion about music and our favourite bands and musicians. Since music is even more important than movies to me, I would like to see what do you think about music. My favourite music is alternative rock and trip hop, although I like grunge and hard rock as well. My favourite band is Muse and then there are others, such as: Radiohead, Hooverphonic, Jeff Buckley, Hard Fi, Pearl Jam, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Kyo, Kane, Suede, Nirvana, Garbage, Stereophonics, Dredg and many more. I like female songwriters very much, too, such as Tori Amos, Jewel, Alanis Morissette and Aimee Mann.
music is a part, sometimes very significant, of movies, so I think the topic is OK:) I can't really imagine my day without music, I almost always fall asleep with my radio on;) My favourite band is U2, saw them last year in Chorzow, Poland and they were fabulous. I'm really lazy today and it would take too much time to name all my favourite bands, so here's a link, if someone is curious: http://www.lastfm.pl/user/Martuchna8 What else can I say.. I rarely listen to female vocalists, of course there are exceptions like Sade, Joni Mitchell or Cat Power, but I prefer male voices:D

Oh and by the way @Chrisy I do enjoy some gabber/happy hardcore from time to time, but it's usually when I'm drunk.
I started to make a big boring list of artists here, but then I grew bored, so if you're interested, you can have a look at my last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/OhLookBirdies
That's not actually a representative list yet, I reset my profile a couple of weeks ago, because I was sick of all the shit bands I used to love when I was an angry angsty teenager in the top ten, but it'll give you the general idea, I guess.
Oh and best soundtrack ever from the (very good) movie Death Sentence: Pilot Speed - Alright Also very impressive is Juno Reactor with Navras, end track of the Matrix 3
My top bands are: The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The Strokes and Scorpions, I used to listen to McFLY a lot, but suddenly got bored of their songs. In a totally different style, stan Getz and Joao Gilberto, I have listened this album thousands of time :) I love Jazz and Stan Getz together with this brazilian rythm is just so sweet :)
And here is a little serie in hommage of Mano Solo. More for the French I suppose :) Lyrics are essential with Mano Solo so dont even bother if you dont understand :) By far my favorite French artist. He died of aids in January :( His album La Marmaille nue is the only album that made me cry, those songs are so poetic and powerful, never an artist touched me that much, although sometimes it is very depressive, it is also so real and full of hope I dont know if many French people know him, I mean they are a lot who knows him but he was not all that popular or very mediatic, he sort of stayed in the shadow most of his career
I could listened to him over and over, and for a long time I have :)
