just an idea : i think about a category for frankenstein ...a memo for (100) uploads of gore or bloody shot .... maybe the mask of jason can be cool too !
An idea for a new stat : what about the ratio "number of different movies uploaded/total number of uploads" (shots in FF/Archives only, of course) ? Just to know if an uploader is uploading a lot of different movies, or a lot of shots from same movies.
And again : great work of the whole staff these past weeks, keep going !
Thanks for all critism so far. :) At the end of the week I look in the old topic for some ideas for the 1600 uploads memo. If you have some good ideas that are not in the topic feel free to tell me.
How about a memo for a FF going unsolved for the full 30 days. I am unsure the frequency in which this occurs, so I would not be best to suggest the actual number of such shots required to earn the memo. But it does seem like somewhat of an accomplishment to have a good shot go unsolved. A possible design could be the Riddler's question mark or the box from Se7en ("What's in the box?").
Since we're talking about a memo for gore, maybe we should take in consideration one for "nudity" too (I hope I will not accused of encouraging or "aiding and abetting" this practice, lol). Lolita heart glasses for example?
Yes I know that votes are closed for SotY. But is it necessarry to replace all WTM pages with this announcement ??? Only the forum is preserved, as usual.
I thought about something for the replacement to be more visible is that can be possible to see on the page snapshots ,with a red cross in the corner, a banner, or a flag, which shots are tagged "replaceplease" on this page for example : http://whatthemovie.com/movie/rain_man/snapshots
- I think I fixed the message about the supporters having already uploaded 5 shots (the message was saying "2 shots"). If a supporter who uploaded 5 shots from the same movie could try. - Fixed characters not being imported anymore - Deleted all the cheating first solves by absama in the archive (and fixed the glitch). If you have some shots with only him as solver, reset the cache on it by doing whatever you want (bookmark/unbookmark) and don't forget to add the "unsolved" tag. - mods can change characters name. I'll make it available for some ranks later with the new version - added more text to explain why a movie/entry is locked (not released yet on DVD/BD etc) when uploading - various bug fixed

The cache is messed up. If you find any shot in the archive only solved by absama, please give me the link i'll fix it. On my side all his first solves were deleted but the cache doesn't seem to follow.
Hello! I don't know anything about the "absama-case" but one of my shots is only solved by him: http://whatthemovie.com/shot/234943 Unfortunately nothing happens after bookmarking/unbookmarking. Thank you!
You can try to fix by yourself this kind of shots if you think they should be unsolved: just add "unsolved" as a tag, it will reset the cache of the shot and normally if you refresh the page nobody should have solved it. (that's what I did)
- Awesome Upload tag: http://whatthemovie.com/search?t=tag&q=Awesome+Upload (should be automatically added when uploading one) - Actor name: http://whatthemovie.com/movie/our_hospitality/character/42184 - Fixed narrow keys nav when the previous/next button are disabled (when solving the few new shots on the FF) - Can't add anymore tags fewer than 3 characters - Can't write anymore tags bigger than 30 characters (vepro) - Now when somebody deletes his account, everything is deleted automatically except his shouts & shots (solves, first solves, friendships, favs, supporter stats..) - fixed typo & vault preview
Two more suggestions (maybe already given by other players):
* The NS overview displays your own vote, even for the shots you uploaded (it should display the current rating just like it does when you look at the shot alone):
* Movies with short titles are difficult to search. For example "9" gives two big pages of movies. Maybe allowing quotes and operators like "+" could make the searchs in the database easier. Same thing for tags.
"* Movies with short titles are difficult to search. For example "9" gives two big pages of movies. Maybe allowing quotes and operators like "+" could make the searchs in the database easier. Same thing for tags. " <-- this one has been indeed suggested before, as well as being able to sort results (or sorting them more logically).
when you suscribe to the email notification for shot acceptance, you get the same message "Good news! One of your shots was accepted to be a feature film" if your shot was regularly accepted or magically.
@kinoute Unless all my shots have been regularly accepted (and I doubt it), it does it with me. I never received "Good news! One of your shots was magically accepted to be a feature film." For example the last one, rated 6.19, is probably magically accepted: #288079
