i think he talks about the low-rated snapshots...at my beginning on WTM u need at least an 8 to get ur shot into the FF...acutally a 7 has a good chance...but IMO thats not the problem here... as i understood scruffy takes the best snapshots no matter if they got an 8,7 or 6...right?
Yeah, Scruffy doesn't care about how low the ratings are. He just picks the highest rating among the shots that have less than 24hrs left, every 50 minutes or so.
Actually I had no idea how Scruffy works. I mean, i had read about it in one of the threads around here... But didn't really grasp the concept. Thank's for the explanation Wizo.
About people zero-bombing, well, it's somewhat obvious. Usually unknown "average" shots get a rating of around 6.5; While more known "average" shots stay close to 7 or even 7.3 if it's a really well known movie. Anyway. I love this site, as a painter this is a great source of inspiration...
Since few days (maybe a week), I remarked every shot is under 7. What a joke, few months ago, a note like that was considered as bad! I try to maintain my upload average around 7.5, but it gonna be very hard if it continues... :( Hope it gonna stop soon...
As I have said many times before: numbers don't matter, because it's all relative. If ALL shots are under 7 and yours is 6.9, that is better than when all shots are under 9 and yours is 8.3. Therefore: no need for it to stop.
Yes, I know, but it's a little disgusting, for one thing : new players will have a 6.5 or 7 average, whereas their shots are maybe as good as the ones posted by and old player, which are rated as 8 or 9... It's not the most important, I know, but... :p
he talks about the average of all the shots uploaded by a player...
